Calling all history buffs and culture enthusiasts! This weekend, head to Genoa, Nevada’s oldest town, for a trip back in time at the Genoa Western Heritage Days! From April 26th to 28th, the town comes alive with a celebration of its rich heritage, offering a taste of the Wild West.
Live Music and Entertainment:
- Kick off the festivities with evening concerts featuring renowned Western musicians like Dave Stamey, Carin Mari, Trinity Seely, and Sam Platts and the Plainsmen. (Tickets required)
- Throughout Saturday, enjoy free live Western music, cowboy poetry, and historical reenactments by Chautauqua actors.
Family Fun and Western Activities:
- Immerse yourselves in the Wild West with demonstrations by the Truckee Meadows Pioneers and the Douglas County Farm Bureau’s Ag in the Classroom program.

- Don’t miss the highlight of the festival – the Invitational Horse Parade, where majestic horses will strut through the historic downtown.
